Mechanical Engineer (Multi-skilled) – Refrigeration/ Heating/ Combustion

Are you an experienced multi skilled engineer, looking to work in an extremely prestigious building? A brand new opportunity has arisen working for one of my extremely valued clients, for a role in the heart of the financial hub of London, at a very well presented building.

The role

You’ll be working in a stunning building in Fenchurch street, for a dynamic and growing business on their highly prestigious contract. Day to day, you will be required to tend to mechanical and electrical plant, with a 50/50 split between PPMs and reactive maintenance. Servicing on A/C units is already carried out by an external company, but you’ll be required to carry out remedial maintenance in between this. You will work shifts which will be Monday and Friday 8 – 5, and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday working a 12.30 – 9.30pm shift. Once a month you will be required to travel to Bristol to visit another client, but a company vehicle will be provided for you to do so.

What you’ll need

* You’ll ideally have a time-served apprenticeship in one of the following HVAC disciplines: combustion/heating, plumbing, refrigeration/Air Conditioning etc. as well as F-gas.
* 17th Edition is highly desired but not essential. You will need some Electrical knowledge and the ability to turn your hand to basic carpentry would be helpful – You’ll be on a static site working for an FM provider who are bound by SLAs, so you’ll understand the importance of servicing the client in the most efficient way and go the extra mile to do so
* A self-starter who takes pride in their work, and is pro-active in their approach to work.
* You’ll need a full driving license for your once monthly trips to Bristol

What’s in it for you?

* A generous salary of £34,000 per annum and the opportunity to earn extra cash in the way of overtime at time and a half, and standby payments of £75 per week
* A varying shift pattern, without the need to commit to weekends. You’ll benefit from 3 mornings off per week, which will be handy for running any errands.
* The chance to work in one of the most impressive buildings I’ve visited over the course of my career, in a down to earth and friendly team.

I’m working on this vacancy on an exclusive basis, and am looking to have a short-list of suitable candidates by Friday 28th July, with a view to interviewing on Friday 4th of August. If you have the relevant skills and qualifications and are up for a new challenge, then please forward your CV to , and I will get in touch by early next week to discuss the role further and progress your application
