Due to continuing business success and growth they now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Andover.

Maintenance Engineer key responsibilities:

In this role, you will support and maintain all production and ancillary equipment, ensuring optimum production performance, minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring reliability through a proactive approach to maintenance. You will ensure the delivery of Preventative Maintenance strategies and support/lead projects to improve equipment efficiencies in line with Operational Excellence. Your responsibilities will also include:

- Supporting operations in a professional manner to ensure all business targets are met.
- Performing periodic maintenance checks and procedures on all production equipment.
- Identifying/performing and deliver TPM maintenance and provide support/training to other staff.
- Reviewing/analysing data to identify areas of improvement.
- Responding to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Creating and updating a maintenance management system for data collection.
- Monitoring, controlling, and recommending spare part stock to maximise the availability of production equipment.
- Providing support and advice on potential operational and performance improvements.
- Supporting the introduction of new equipment including Training, Installation, Commissioning, Customer handover and maintenance.
- Liaising with machine vendors to resolve problematic issues.
- Managing contractors whilst on-site to ensure site safety and security standards are delivered.
- Facilitating structured problem-solving activities to find Root Cause as quickly as possible.
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, work safely, and complying with legislation.
- Undertaking projects within the scope of production and suggest/support continuous improvements to proactively support the business.
- Participating in performance development review meetings, engaging in a constructive discussion
- Undertaking additional training as determined through PDR process or by training manager.
- Producing and presenting equipment performance reports.

The ideal Maintenance Engineer:

To be successful in this role, you will need a HNC or HND level or equivalent in an Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics or Mechanical discipline, alongside. You will also need:

- Ability to troubleshoot Windows PC based systems, repair electronic PCB, SMPS, drives and work with electronic & electrical schematics, logic diagrams and mechanical drawings
- Fully compliant with Elec/Mech schematics
- Ability to understand and improve complex process systems through the use of well-developed PLC software skills.
- Knowledge in continuous improvement techniques, TPM, 5S, SMED and Lean an advantage.
- IT Literate, fully conversant with MS Excel, Word and Outlook
- Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated and, following initial training, able to work safely and unsupervised as an electro-mechanical engineer.
- Understanding of, and ability to work safely with, electrical distribution systems.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good decision making and communication skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, flexibly and with a high degree of initiative.

In return, we can offer a salary of up to £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on qualifications and experience.
