Working for a global manufacturer of high value and bespoke systems for the Aerospace, Automotive and Industrial markets, you will be a key member of the Customer Aftermarket team and will be responsible to develop and execute an effective Aftermarket Product Strategy for the business and Legacy branded product range which assures profitable growth.

The Role
As a key part of the Senior Management team and reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible to ensure our Aftermarket product range meets the needs of the customers from a technical and commercial perspective while liaising with Aftermarket Operations in order to ensure availability and service. The duties of the role will include;
Manage the transition of product from current production to Aftermarket in order to minimise business costs and maximise ongoing customer support
Develop and maintain an effective Product Strategy for Aftermarket within our key markets, providing the required level of competitor analysis, market analysis and application information to identify short, medium and long term business opportunities
Support marketing activities and ensure appropriate marketing materials and sales tools are available to enable strategic growth plans
Analyse and manage the current Aftermarket Product list through the product life cycle with a clear definition for Catalogue and Non-Catalogue structure. Monitor costs, profitability, sales volumes and market share and identify opportunities to provide growth.
Define and maintain procedures for adding new parts to the Aftermarket product list, referencing ongoing management of the Catalogue/Non-Catalogue definition.
Define and maintain procedures for Initial Spares kit creation for project packages
Define and maintain Service kit definition and structure in conjunction with Product Manuals and Service Training programs.
Support the development and implementation of action plans for growth and profitability of specific product lines in conjunction with Intercompany and external Sales and distribution partners
Working with the regional sales structure, ensure we drive sales growth and improved profitability.
Establish and maintain key account contacts along with Sales management, distributors, OEM and house accounts.
Manage the transition of product out of current production into Aftermarket through the product lifecycle - ensure appropriate part availability whilst minimising business cost.
Liaise with the Aftermarket Operations team in order to enable and support Aftermarket Customer Service levels.
Develop and maintain the Aftermarket Product and Service training program to support Intercompany and external Sales and distribution partners.
Develop and maintain Aftermarket Warranty and Service management
Clearly define Warranty and Service agreement terms and conditions to support the Intercompany and external Sales & distribution partners.

The Person
You will be educated to HNC / HND or Degree level with a proven background in aftermarket / Product Management and you will have a strong mix of the following background and experience;
Solid experience in Product Management, Marketing, Engineering or relevant sales experience within the Industrial / aerospace / automotive manufacturing industry.
Strong interpersonal skills to include the ability to negotiate and influence and work well as part of a team
Comfortable working in a fast paced, diverse and evolving work environment
A solid understanding of the aftermarket and customer warranty business within an international client based environment.
Intelligent and analytical - able to analyse large data sets to make decisions - strong Excel capabilities
A doer / completer / finisher and someone who actually delivers with a proven history of results
A high level of commercial awareness and able to deal with Warranty terms and Service agreements
