The Organisation:

The business is at the forefront of innovation and technology and invests heavily in R&D for the wider market and on a bespoke basis for its major customers.

The Role:

To develop and maintain Quality, Business Excellence, and Continuous Improvement activities for the Tools and PrC Business Lines at BUK. These activities shall include planning, maintaining and implementation of these systems, management of key indicators, and drive continuous improvement philosophies. The QE may be involved in resolving customer quality-related issues, will provide direction to production, conduct audits, and instruct all OB personnel in the use of problem solving tools and OB Quality Management delivery systems.

• Development, implementation and maintenance/upkeep of manuals, procedures and work/technical instructions for the business lines of tools and PrC relating to ISO9001, 14001, NADCAP, AS9100C and HSE
• Conduct the Annual Management Review
• Have authority as the ISO Management Representative
• Assisting with maintaining safe working conditions and playing an active part in the Health & Safety Committee. Documenting all the COSHH assessments and risk assessments in line with current legislation and corporate directives.
• Coordinating and reporting Customer Complaints
• Liaising with the certification body ensuring all the necessary data is available. This includes auditing data and documentation that are essential to maintain existing registration
• Conduct internal and Second Part audits. Oversee external and customer audit activities
• Analysing and producing Quality/Business Excellence data KPI’s with the objective of achieving continuous improvement.
• Implementing training solutions and monitoring the effectiveness of training reviews.
• Observation and implementation of 5S methodologies as part of the daily routine.
• The job holder may be required to undertake further duties for the effective functioning of the Department and the Company, under the direction of the line manager.

The Individual:

• Preferably Quality qualification such as CQI membership
• ONC/HNC in mechanical engineering discipline
• Understanding of EFQM, Lean, Safety, Quality Systems AS9100 and NADCAP
