£8.50 per hour basic pay + OTE uncapped bonus + 45p per mile fuel allowance.

We are currently looking for Meter Readers to represent Vital Power Services and many of the UK's leading energy suppliers.

As a Meter / Data Reader you will be responsible for visiting residential and commercial properties to obtain accurate readings from their gas and electricity meters. You will be provided with a handheld computer listing a portfolio of customers to visit in a set geographical location.

This is a great opportunity to work flexibly, managing your own diary and planning your own routes. As a representative of Vital Power Services and also our clients, it is key that you will be able to offer excellent customer service and have a friendly, approachable manner.

All candidates must meet the following criteria:-

You must be self-motivated and able to work under your own initiative
An experienced driver with your own vehicle and a full clean driving license
All candidates would be subject to a full Criminal Record Check (CRB / DBS)
You must have a home telephone line (This is to enable us to send you work at no cost)
You must be physically fit and active. This role can include lots of walking in all weathers

Working Hours:-

Full Time: 40 flexible hours per week (Mon to Sat where appropriate)
£8.50 per hour basic + OTE including weekly uncapped bonus plus the following....

- Plan your own routes
- Employed in a permanent position
- Weekly pay
- Fuel allowance & claimable tax relief of up to 45p per mile
- Full training would be given as well as ongoing training and support
- Branded uniform and equipment

There are regular mini projects available which often have higher rates. This is great for boost earnings by up to £3000 per annum.
