The Client

A leading International Waste Management Company is looking for a Maintenance Technician.

Purpose and Responsibilities

Our client is looking for 3 Engineers to work different shifts at their busy MBT Plant. We are looking for maintenance technicians to work 4 on 4 off shifts both days and nights, Permanent Night Shifts and Days. This is a good opportunity for Engineers with experience in similar fields to find their niche and join a leading international company in which they can progress.

* Liaise closely with the Maintenance Manager and operations staff in all respects to ensure efficient and effective planned and reactive maintenance at all times
* Assist in the administration of the CMMS (Frontline) to ensure its accuracy at all times. Frontline to be used for all maintenance activities.
* Assist in mechanical and electrical plant upgrades as assigned by the Maintenance Manager to ensure they are completed on time and effectively
* Assist in the implementation and control of the company’s mechanical, electrical and general working safely policies.
* Anticipate machine failures and make such changes or recommendations to prevent reoccurrence and minimise downtime
* To be available for planned maintenance shutdown periods (reasonable notice will be given)
* Carry out maintenance tasks diligently and in good time using appropriate methodology
* Ensure good communications with colleagues
* Attend all nominated training modules as necessary
* Provide permits to work and control contractors as necessary
* Travelling and working between sites as and when required

Essential Experiences

* Served Electrical/Mechanical Engineers with the relevant City & Guilds/ONC or higher
* Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills are required along with the ability to work on your own initiative whilst also being part of a team
* Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary
* Must be used to working in a fast moving operational environment and have excellent problem solving skill
* You will have hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge along with PLC, inverter, instrumentation and control experience
* Knowledge if various mechanical drive arrangements, including simplex, duplex, chain, belt, gearboxes and transmission equipment is required
* A Valid Driving License is Essential.
