Production/Mechanical Assembly - Team Leader/Cell Leader/Supervisor required!

Do you have previous experience in a production/assembly environment?

Have you got a mechanical understanding and background?

If you have previous experience supervising and leading a team in a manufacturing/production/assembly environment then this may be the ideal opportunity for you!

Due to increased expansion we now require a Production/Mechanical Assembly - Team Leader to join the business and lead a team/cell of mechanically inclined assemblers which have a variety of skills from fitting, plating, sheet metal work, machining and quality.

The role in brief:

We are looking for a Production/Mechanical Assembly - Team Leader to manage a variety of skills in this fabrication and machining assembly environment.

Your key duties will include:
- Leading and motivating shift team members across a 2 shift system.
- Coordinating your team in order for maximum productivity
- You will perform various HR duties which include, performance management, back to work interviews, appraisals and attending 1st stage disciplinary meetings.
- Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Driving of quality operating procedures.
- Leading Continuous Improvement and implementing of Lean principles to improve efficiency and reduce scrap levels.

Role: Permanent

Location: Must be commutable to Gloucester

Salary: £27,000 - £37,000 + overtime available

Hourly working week: 37hrs anything over paid at 1.5

Shift: Mon-Fri AM/PM Mornings/Afternoons

Benefits: Pension up to 8% contribution, Private healthcare, 32 days holiday, Company Bonus scheme

Background required: Previous experience leading/supervising a team in a mechanically inclined production/manufacturing or assembly environment.

The work environment:

First class manufacturing facilities which host; machining, fabrication, assembly, surface finishing and so on.

The ideal Production/Mechanical Assembly - Team Leader will possess as many of the following as possible in order to strengthen the application:

* Time Served Apprenticeship
* Previous experience leading/supervising a team
* Mechanically inclined and competent to supervise a range of skill associated in a Machining, fabrication and assembly workshop
