Our client is a Global multi-site chemicals manufacturer, with a large manufacturing site in North Lincolnshire, providing cutting edge products to a variety of customers all over the world. This is a values' driven business with a strong focus on R&D. Due to site expansion and growth, there is an immediate requirement for a Reliability and Senior Mechanical Engineer to join an established team within the technical function. This globally admired business provides numerous products and services for a variety of industries used every day, globally. Total sales are multi-billion with several thousand-staff working across the world.

This facility on the Humber is the largest of its kind in Europe. It is a top Tier COMAH site.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Graduate Mechanical engineers to join an expanding team with a clear succession planning strategy to develop the technical and engineering expertise across the Global network.

Role purpose:

To lead local reliability improvement programmes to deliver improvements in plant Safety, Reliability, Availability, Integrity, and Maintenance Costs, in line with the business need. You will develop, deploy and execute SMART objectives to deliver tangible plant performance improvements.

As the site's functional lead in your technical area, you will optimise the processes and equipment within your area, set and maintain standards, define and develop capability requirements, and ensure technological advances are identified and exploited.


Lead strategic programmes of work which underpin the reliability and integrity of the plants

Identify and implement solutions to 'Opportunities for Improvement' (availability, reliability, costs, resource)

Lead strategic programmes of work which underpin the reliability and integrity of the plants

Champion a standard toolbox of reliability improvement techniques

Share learning and best practise with engineering across this large site and company wide

Championing the Reliability culture through reliability performance management techniques

Key challenges:

Work with multi-functional teams to achieve engineering availability in line with site needs.

Elimination of defects

Optimisation of strategic maintenance plans

Introduction of condition monitoring and other inspection techniques

Experience Required:

* SAP skills preferred
* Maintenance of process plant and equipment, ideally chemical, process plant or heavy engineering.
* Project Management processes
* Risk assessment in the Process Industries
* Engineering strategies and their place in manufacturing organisations
* Degree level in mechanical engineering, chartered or working towards chartership
