Control Systems Engineer. Southwell, Nottinghamshire, NG25

Design and development of bespoke manufacturing / production machinery and automated processes. Lead and carry out all machinery control system development from conceptual design to commissioning and validation. Position would suit a Control Systems Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer with PLC programming / controls systems design experience.

Salary & Guideline: £40,000 to £50,000

The job will involve:
• Design and development of bespoke manufacturing machinery and automated processes – the company develop and build their own production / manufacturing machines.
• Lead and carry out all machinery control system development from conceptual design to commissioning and validation. This will include working with external partners to select appropriate control systems for specific machinery.
• Alongside the development of new machinery you will also look at modifying / improving existing machinery and use your technical knowledge to support the trouble shooting of machines / equipment.

This job will suit:
• We are looking for a Control Systems Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer that can offer experience in controls systems design / PLC programming.
• Any exposure to supporting the design and development of special purpose machinery / manufacturing machinery / electro-mechanical systems would be beneficial.
• The role would suit a practical engineer e.g. enjoy getting up from your desk and supporting the trouble shooting of machinery / equipment, looking at ways to modify and improve existing machinery not just look at brand new projects.
