We are recruiting to fill the role of Material Controller in the Logistics department. The Logistics team is responsible for the planning and scheduling of production build, based on customer requirements and controlling the flow of material into the factory by collaborating with suppliers and other departments.

You will use your skills in a challenging environment in material control. We require someone who will embrace ownership culture and actively seek process improvements with enthusiasm and demonstrate a willingness to adapt and facilitate change.

Key Responsibilities
Optimise MRP
* Resolving purchase order exceptions (currently in excess of 2k daily)
* Managing supplier deliveries for set days
* PO Management
* Expediting requirements
Effective participation into inventory discrepancies
* 8D / A3 type investigations, PDCA to resolve & prevent reoccurrence
SAP Data Maintenance
* Material Master maintenance e.g. lot sizes, order frequencies and lead times
Management Reporting
* Reviewing & approve invoices; BSC & KPI report preparation; OSCAR and GK participation & analysis
Supplier Development
* Working collaboratively with suppliers & other departments to improve our relationship & process with suppliers. Actions include Vendor rating, rolling out re-useable packaging, milk rounds, transport optimization, EDI coverage, logistic models & delivery queries
Continuous Improvement
* Active participation in LIO, reviewing processes to seek improvement, to incorporate technological improvements, participation in the individual suggestion scheme

* 5 years experience in a similar role
* Ability to demonstrate excellent understanding of the processes
* Advanced IT skills, Excel and SAP knowledge
* Analytical, with an eye for detail
* Flexible and adaptable in your approach
* Great interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
* The ability to contribute positively in a team working environment
* A positive, can-do attitude
* Good organisational and prioritisation skills
* Excellent Problem Solving Skills

The Person
The successful candidate must be self-motivated, able to effectively work within a team and under pressure. They must have good communication and problem solving skills; be numerate, accurate, and analytical with a keen eye for detail. The candidate must be flexible with a positive can-do attitude
