Technical Coordinator - Building construction Technologies

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically-minded individual with the desire to succeed in a challenging technical/specification sales environment serving the construction industry.

Joining a specialist team, you will be responsible for providing a professional level of technical, sales and marketing support in order to secure strong building construction technology specifications with Structural Engineers, Architects and other industry professionals, whilst promoting the company, its specialist products and services.

This will also include:
• Receiving and progressing customer enquiries, both telephone and email of a technical nature to the satisfaction of the customer, making use of freely available technical documentation on the company website thereby increasing website traffic and enabling instant product/detail discussion, reducing downtime in client response.
• Preparing technical correspondence/reports, proofing specifications, CAD drawings, section details, and building specifications and ongoing technical guidance for projects.
• Proactively Identifying and pre-qualify early stage construction projects from sources (such as project leads and trade journals), and by contacting by phone architectural and engineering practices to identify whether an opportunity exists and monitor the project for field-based technical advisors.
• Working with projects at all levels and value from new and refurb housing developments to, hospitals, large retail units, university blocks, etc.
• Monitoring, developing, and maintaining projects added to the ACT (CRM) database whilst liaising with the Technical and Commercial departments and the appropriate Technical Advisor.

Skills and experience required:

Although, Ideally, you will have a related qualification in the built industry (Structural/Civil Engineering, Architecture or Building Construction etc) and/or some experience in the industry, my client is open to a technically minded and highly motivated individual with experience within a similar pro-active technical customer support/customer service/logistical support role, with experience of using CAD, and the ability to understand technical concepts in building construction.

PC literacy, good organisational skills and the ability to ask questions and think laterally are all required.

You will need to be living within the Bracknell area or nearby, and possess own transport as not on a main public transport link.

A full product and industry training program will be provided.
