My client is looking to recruit a Night Assistant to join their busy successful hotel chain.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ØTake reservation ensuring maximum occupancy and rates are obtained
ØCheck guests in and out, including preparation of guest bills and authorising payments
ØResponsible for manning the Front Desk
ØResponsible for cash handling including float and banking
ØResponsible for processing card payments
ØDealing efficiently with day to day billing and guest service queries
ØCompletion of night audit in the absence or on the request of the Night Supervisor
ØTake food orders, service drinks at the bar, room service orders
ØClear/clean tables, cleaning the public areas, kitchen service area, bar and meeting rooms, and hotel entrance
ØOther ad hoc duties as and when required
ØReport anything considered a health and safety hazard
ØPrevent abuse and/or destruction of hotel property
ØBe flexible at all times in order to cover the unexpected needs of the Hotel and outlets
ØResponsible for looking after Hotel property at all times
ØEnsure safety and hygiene standards are met
ØTo attend all relevant training as and when required
ØTo ensure that the company dress code is always adhered to
ØAssisting the Night Manager in the running of the hotel including reception, and Open Lobby
ØBar duties opening/closing, serving drinks and restocking
ØPreparation of the breakfast buffet area and service
ØCompletion of the duties checklist
ØSecurity of hotel, floor checks and monitoring of CCTV
ØCleaning and set up of meeting rooms
ØCheck conference stock levels and advising Night Manager

GENERAL

- To attend any meeting or training sessions as required by management
- To be conversant with
- The Hotel Fire Procedures
- The Hotel and Company Security Procedures
- The Hotel Health and Safety Policy and Procedures
- The Hotel facilities and attractions
- Current Licensing regulations (Food and Beverage Service department)
- Methods of payment accepted by the Company (cash handling staff only)
- Hotel operation standards and department procedures
- Short and long term marketing promotions
