Events Supervisor

We're currently recruiting for a Events Supervisor to oversee the day to day running of events and hospitality areas. As a key part of the Conference and Events team, you will be helping to provide a friendly and efficient food and drinks service to guests whilst managing a team of casual staff.

£18,000 + Progression

Events Supervisor - Main responsibilities

- To take direct responsibility for the supervision of functions as instructed by Events Assistant Manager and Events Manager.
- On a daily basis to look after meetings, event organisers and attendees
- To manage a small team of casual waiters and a Kitchen Porter
- To be pleasant and courteous to guests and clients at all times so that they feel welcome and comfortable.
- To ensure on all occasions you observe and practice safe and hygienic working practices in accordance with Compass Group standards
- To Coordinate and motivate staff and ensure all staff conduct themselves in a professional manner

Events Supervisor - Ideal candidate

- To have passion and flare in doing what they enjoy
- Attention to detail and delivering of events at the highest standards
- A self-driven individual, with a proactive and positive approach to change.
- Good at decision making and confident in exercising correct judgments.
- Strong communication skills and team work ethic
- Full training will be given - no experience necessary although catering, hospitality or bar experience is preferred
- Ability to prioritise different tasks and requests coupled with proven organisation skills
