Job title: Tenancy Services Officer
Contract Term: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, Temporary (Potential to become permanent)
Salary: £14.10 PAYE / £17.98 Ltd/Umbrella Company basis, plus car allowance
Location: Home based (This needs to be in the Cambridge area), with travel to cover the West Norfolk, Kings Lynn, St Edmundsbury, Cambridgeshire, Biggleswade and Huntingdonshire areas.

Greenacre Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading housing provider to source an experienced and customer focused Tenancy Services Officer to work across an allocated patch to deliver an exceptional housing management service.

The responsibilities of the Tenancy Services Officer are:

• To carry out regular visits to an allocated patch of properties to ensure that services are provided to the required standards.
• Ensuring the properties meet all health and safety standards and regulations and carry out regular inspections and audits for all properties on the patch.
• To manage the letting and sign up process for new tenants, and to arrange and attend evictions where necessary.
• To support vulnerable tenants in managing their tenancies and signposting to other organisations and agencies for support where necessary.
• To deal with any Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) issues or breaches of tenancy that arise, and effectively resolve these in a timely manner.
• To manage the Estate Services contracts for communal cleaning and grounds maintenance.
• To provide line management for designated staff, setting and monitoring performance targets ensuring staff are inducted, supervised, trained and motivated in order to deliver high quality, customer focussed services.
• To assist the Area Manager in effective budget planning, control and compliance with income and expenditure targets, procurement and financial controls, to ensure a value for money (VFM) approach.
• To ensure tenants receive the appropriate levels of support and are safeguarded.
• To successfully meet and exceed KPI targets and set the highest possible standards of customer care.

To be successful in your application for the role, you will have:

• A background of working in social housing with a proven track record of delivering tenancy management services. (Preferably within a retirement living service).
• The ability to proactively identify and prevent rent arrears, to maximise rent collection.
• Current knowledge of housing and tenancy legislation, standards and recent experience of supporting tenancies and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
• Experience of supporting tenants with a diverse range of needs.
• Ability to interpret financial information and manage contracts.
• The ability to deal with Anti-Social Behaviour issues and complaints with tact and diplomacy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A genuine passion for delivering a high quality customer focused service.
• Resilience and a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and initiative to deal with changing situations and needs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and ideally knowledge of housing software.
• Flexibility to occasionally work outside of standard working hours when required.
• To be educated to A level, NVQ level 3 or equivalent through relevant training and/or experience.

In order to be considered for this role, you must hold a full clean driving licence and be willing to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
