Regional Field Service Engineering Manager


Up to £48,000 per annum plus extensive package

In support of increased growth within the business, I`m working on a new role with an expanding global business. This opportunity will be the first role of it`s kind in the business, as they add a regionalised Field Service Manager focusing on the development and maintenance of customer relationships in the South of the UK.

You will be responsible for:
· Leading a team of Service Engineers across the region, developing and managing the expanding team.
· Being the client point of contact ensuring that customer relationships are maintained and developed; regularly attending client sites across the region.
· Managing a team of experienced Service Engineers, conducting appraisals and identifying training and development needs.
· Spending time at Head Office to work closely with other members of the management team to deliver a standardised service to all customers.
· Working in a highly pressured environment to provide excellent service to customers within the regionalised areas and beyond as the business needs require.

You will ideally be:
· A strong people manager with a great communication skills.
· Solution focused with an aptitude for excellent customer service.
· Able to communicate effectively with teams, customers and project stakeholders.
· Educated to degree level in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline.
· Experienced in managing a field service team - ideally for a minimum of 5 years.
· Experienced in working with special purpose machinery, ideally within packaging, canning, bottling, filling, labelling or similar machinery and equipment.

This role will be a home based role, and you will ideally be based in or around Glasgow/Edinburgh region or Central Belt of Scotland travelling to customer sites across the region. You will be expected to spend some time at head office as business needs demand; as well as assisting with other geographical areas to support the wider business and management team.
