30 hour & 40 hour positions available - £7.90 an hour

Ravensdale is a twenty bedded specialist unit working with adult service users who present with complex mental and physical health needs. The home also offers specialist care for individuals with Huntington's Disease and other neurological conditions. Ravensdale has been designed and purpose built to allow us to provide individualised care and support for adults with complex needs in to 2 x 10 bedded units, Bluebell and Foxglove.

In addition to our 20 bed unit we have recently opened a three bedded satellite house within the same complex which focuses on recovery.

We now have exciting opportunities for motivated, enthusiastic and innovative people to join our dedicated staff team as Activity Co-coordinators, as a member of the team your enthusiasm, compassion, drive and warmth is key for this exciting role.

You will be part of an activities team that can deliver all of this to support our Service Users to feel valued, respected and included in daily/weekly social, recreational and educational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

To develop individual life style planners with every service user, identifying personal goals and aspirations
Develop, plan, organize and promote a wide range of activities, internal and external to the home, with the Life Skills Coordinator
Organise and participate in regular, monthly resident meetings to promote service user involvement in all aspects of the home
Support service users to access different methods of transport according to their need and to promote independence
Complete risk assessments for planned activities and venues to ensure the well-being of the service users
Monitor, review and feedback Service Users participation
Organise, promote and participate in Fund raising events for the home
You will need to be well organised and whilst you should be a good team player you should also be able to work on your own initiative and be able to follow instruction.

Ideally we would like you to have a QCF (NVQ) Level 2 in Health & Social Care. Experience and involvement in social and recreational activities for Service Users and a full driving licence would be advantageous.
