Our client is a well established, UK based, legal information, education & training organisation. They are looking to recruit an Events Assistant to work in their Chelmsford Office, who has relative, industry experience. Over the years, they have built a fantastic reputation and are growing and expanding at a rapid rate. They strive to deliver world class law events and conferences, as well as providing structured training programs and online media to audiences in the UK, European and Global legal sectors. They have sold out their last 16 Events, so you would be joining a very successful team who know how to create appealing and interesting Events.

The role itself will see you reporting directly to the MD and CEO, whilst being closely supported by experienced Events Executives. In this role, you will assist in developing and roll out financially successful conferences and events from conception to completion. To do this effectively, you will need to complete research and note down findings, attract speakers and also contract suppliers. As well as this, you will need to monitor the event websites and assist in event marketing campaigns. You will oversee end to end management of conferences including: management of venues, facilities, suppliers, registration, delegates, AV & technical, transportation, exhibition & signage, stage set / design, crisis planning, health & safety, security and risk assessment. This will include checking all conferences meet risk, brand and regulatory requirements. We have a full job spec available upon request, please advise if you would like to receive a copy of this.

For your application to be successful, you will need a minimum of 2 years experience within Events Production or Operations Experience within the legal or professional services area. You must also have a proven ability in creating financially successful conferences and events from conception to completion, including research and planning. A strong background in supporting and working alongside sales and marketing teams will also be beneficial to your application. Finally, a confident telephone manner and strong skills of persuasion and negotiation will also increase your chances of progressing to the next stage.

The Events Assistant role offers a guaranteed basic salary of £18,000 to £21,000 with an annual bonus attached based on Individual Performance. The company also offers plenty of other benefits and has a friendly and professional working environment.
