Shift Mechanical Technician - Days & Nights
£28,000 - £33,000 plus benefits

We are currently seeking to recruit a Mechanical-bias Maintenance Technician / Shift Technician / Mechanical Fitter, to carry out a variety of daily maintenance & operations tasks on a state-of-the-art Process Plant near Horsham. Our client is a leading organisation within the waste management sector, with the opportunity for a Mechanical Technician to join their maintenance team.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

* Planned and preventative maintenance across the site
* Responding to breakdowns
* Mechanical maintenance on heavy process plant / power generating equipment (conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, etc.)
* Ensuring that the plant runs at optimum capacity with minimal downtime
* Working as part of a shift team
* Other duties as required

To be considered for this position, you should ideally have a mechanical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship/HNC/HND/City & Guilds/NVQ). You should also have relevant experience maintaining large/heavy process equipment (pumps, gearboxes, etc.), and be flexible towards working shifts/days. Those with a Marine Engineering/Forces background will also be considered.

The package on offer for this position includes an attractive salary in the range of £28,000 - £33,000 (depending on experience), plus benefits. The shift pattern for this role works on a 4 on / 4 off rotation, covering days & nights.
