Electrician or Data Installer required within the Thatcham / Portsmouth area. Salary £26,227 per annum, plus benefits
ROLE
Electrician required to work on one of the largest telecoms and data centre networks within the UK. Reporting to the Contracts Manager / Site Technician, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a variety of tasks predominately in the south of the UK working out of the one of our key offices, for both internal and external clients.
The ideal candidate will be:
* Promote safety values at all times
* Install a variety of containment systems, this will include conduit and trunking
* Install a variety of electrical systems
* Install, terminate and test structured cabling systems
* Install, terminate and test fibre optic systems
* Embrace new and exciting technologies.
* Be a positive team member and have a flexible approach to work
* Be part of an emergency reactive team responding to and managing issues and faults across the country on a rolling rota basis
MUST HAVE
Experience in structured cabling both copper and fibre optic systems is required for this role, along with a knowledge of Wi-Fi systems, HV environments and railway works would also be very advantageous. However, appropriate training will be provided for the successful candidate.
Electrician we would ideally need:
* Qualified to the current IEE Wiring regulations (BS7671/17th edition)
* City & Guilds 2330 Level 2/3
* Hold an appropriately graded ECS/CSCS card
* Ideally also posses City and Guilds 2392 Inspection & Testing Qualification
Data Installer:
* City & Guilds in Copper and Fibre Optic systems or equivalent.
* Manufacturer specific approval training
* Hold an appropriately graded ECS/CSCS card
For both above roles:
* Sub- station entry experience
* Full driving licence is essential
