The role

We have a unique opportunity for 2 New Business Officers based in Portsmouth on a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week.

Role purpose:

As New Business Officer, you will assist in the delivery of VIVID's new business pipeline and associated strategies to meet our development objectives. You will also be responsible for ensuring that risks associated, and internal procedures, are managed effectively.

Your key responsibilities:

Understanding the market in our core areas of operation and the opportunities for growth advising the Head of New Business
Building and maintaining relationships with local authorities, private developers, agents and all professional consultants involved in site identification and acquisition
Assisting in identifying site for land acquisition or other development opportunities through reviewing planning applications and land registry, advising the Head of New Business
Preparing, researching and developing bid submissions
Project managing aspects of land acquisitions, valuation advice, in accordance with internal procedures on projects assigned by Head of New Business
Ensuring schemes meet all appropriate internal and external requirements, adhering to procedures. Ensuring pre-contract scheme audit files/checklists are prepared and transferred to deliveryWhat we need from you:


Demonstrable experience of creating and using excel spreadsheets and understanding numerical and financial data
Experience of assessing and critically challenging information
Preferably you will have experience in a busy office based role
A good general standard of education, in particular English and Maths
Strong communicator, both written and verbally, with people of all levels
Excellent IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft programmes, to include Word, Excel and Outlook
It is preferable for you to have a good understanding of development process, valuation and requirements
Good problem solver, able to multi-task and prioritise workload
Full current driving licence with access to a vehicleBehaviours/attributes:

25 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays)
This role may require you to travel regularly between our sites; we pay 45p per mile for travel between sites so you won't be out of pocket
