Business Intelligence Analyst - Permanent - £44/62k DOE - ASAP - London
My client, a large Professional Services organisation, have a great opportunity for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to be responsible for the analysis, investigation and resolution of complex statistical queries as part of an innovative Strategic Partnership with an NHS community provider organisation in London. In addition, you will be responsible for inspecting, cleaning and analysing data in order to highlight useful information, trends and conclusions to aid clinical and business decision-making.
The post holder will be responsible for the development of appropriate management frameworks and reporting mechanisms that will support the delivery of high quality Business Intelligence.
The post holder will provide analytical support, ensuring reports are analysed and collated within a structured framework and to agreed timescales. They will also work closely to align and streamline KPI reporting.
Desirable Skills:
* Understanding of a range of analytical techniques, and their application to the NHS context.
* Good understanding of Microsoft SQL Business Intelligence Tools
* Good numerical skills and understanding of statistics is essential
* Experience of creating reports and delivering ad hoc analytics with the use of Microsoft
Analysis Services
* Good understanding of modern data warehouse designs including understanding of key concepts like dimension, measure, fact
* Working knowledge of T-SQL to query databases and ability to utilise it as part of ad hoc
reporting, data discover and data quality assurance processes.
* Working knowledge of DATIX is desirable as is experience of building and extending data
models.
* Working knowledge of QlikView would be an advantage
* Knowledge and understanding of NHS mandatory reporting requirements and NHS datasets
would be a significant advantage.
* The ability to work with others and develop strong collaborative networks
* Demonstrated capabilities to manage own workload and make informed decisions in the
absence of required information, working to tight and often changing timescales

Technical Skills:
* Ability to research, analyse, evaluate and interpret a range of data relating to need, demand
and supply and support cost/benefit analysis in reaching evidence based recommendations.
* Engage with stakeholders and work collaboratively, to scope requirements and develop robust research and analysis that enables NHS teams to assess current and future needs,
demands & trends.
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to engage effectively with people at various levels
* Good time management and prioritisation skills
* Ability to analyse, investigate and resolve financial queries and discrepancies
* Expert Excel skills and able to use other standard Office software
* Experience of at least 3 years NHS experience (at least 5 years BI or finance experience)
* Experience of dealing with complex and detailed financial information
* Experience of working with senior clinicians, managers, external organisations and providers
