Do you have experience tender planning for major highways schemes? If so, then we have the ideal short-term freelance position for you in the centre of London.

This project involves the construction of a major overpass. The role is mainly office based and will continue for a minimum of 2 months. The ideal candidate will have previous knowledge in working on tendering for highways schemes, bridge, river diversion, and junctions.

Roles and responsibilities:

* Advising and assisting with tender planning, programming, methods of construction and problem resolving
* Liaise with clients, designers, subcontractors, suppliers and local authorities and undertakings on all matters relating to planning and programming
* Ensuring all programmes and support documents are produced and comply with
* Ensuring the production of fully integrated project programmes for the project in the format required by the customer and project team that includes design, procurement, consents, construction and commissioning
* Ensuring the appraisal and co-ordination of all subcontractors' programmes and feedback to them on changing main programme information
* To prepare and present reports on programme and progress of all aspects of the project, and to attend and contribute to site meetings and other associated meetings
* Contribute to progress control as a member of the project team
* Assist in the management of change in regards of impact on programmes and progress
* To prepare comprehensive site layouts and prepare presentations as necessary (PowerPoint, Visio).
* Implementation of Company procedures
* Working collaboratively and openly with the project team in the production and reporting of programme and maintaining a good working relationship with them

Candidate requirements:

* Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
* Knowledge in working on highways
* Experience planning for tenders
* Advanced skills on Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Planner
* Ability to communicate the planning strategy for the project to the wider team
