A Quality Manager with experience of Precision Engineering and Machining is sought by a successful precision engineering company

You will be responsible for the Maintenance & Improvement of the Quality Assurance system in accordance with all requirements of 9100 & 9001, supporting the Engineering team by providing technical leadership to ensure internal and external quality is maintained at all times and ensuring the provision of a rapid response to problems experienced by customers to quickly contain issues and generate solutions that ensure continuity of production.

You will also work closely with suppliers and customers to ensure good working relations and excellent communication channels are maintained and build and maintain relationships at senior level in order to foster trust and generate the necessary environment for fast, team based resolution of problems.
The successful Quality Manager must be a hands on quality professional and be fully conversant with EN9100:2009 & BS EN ISO 9001:2008. You will need previous experience within a precision machining company, serving industries such as Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Aerospace, Motorsport, be used to working to extremely tight tolerances and deadlines and have experience of full Inspection of all related Equipment & CMM machines.

You must have an in-depth Quality background and be able to lead, train and mentor others within the organisation in order to maintain and raise the standard, profile and priority of Quality throughout the business.

You must have excellent people management skills, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
You will need sound judgement and problem solving capabilities with the ability to remain calm under pressure and make effective decisions.

You will need the ability You must have in depth understanding of Supplier Quality processes including 8D's, 5Why's, & possess accurate and thorough Internal & external auditing skills.

Proven written and verbal communication skills, the ability to communicate at all levels within and outside the organisation and extensive knowledge of IT packages and programmes are essential to your success in this role.
