Salary: £12-14 per hour

Location: Manchester

Duration: 12 weeks with the possibility of an extension

Events Co-ordinator required for a not for profit organisation based conveniently in central Manchester.

The role of Events Co-ordinator offers the candidate the chance to assist the department in the creation, procurement and management of events to include master classes, workshops and engagement events.

Key responsibilities of the Events Co-ordinator:

* As the Events Co-ordinator you will coordinate a range of training programmes and master classes for small to medium sized businesses, these may include Google Ads and video production.
* Collating and analysing all feedback from attendees in order to assess the practicalities of the programmes.
* Responsible for Maximising event attendance and promote these events using a wide range of communication channels including social media, websites and partner organisations and suppliers.
* Creating bespoke events with local authorities as well as organising three exhibitions and seminars at any one time.
* With the role of Events Co-ordinator you will be expected to make sure all relevant communications are sent out to the appropriate parties, along with compiling information packs and attending events as a representative of the organisation.
* The role also requires that the candidate can cope and manage events as well as setting up stands and coordinating all aspects of the exhibitions you will be in charge of.
* To professionally and effectively represent the client at events and promote the profile and positive image of the organisation with partners, clients and other key stakeholders.
* Being an Events Co-ordinator you will be responsible for mentoring the Digital Marketing and Events Apprentice, ensuring that all administrative tasks to support events are completed and delivered in a professional and timely manner.
* Liaising with speakers, local authorities, publicity agencies and Government departments.
* Negotiating cost and best value with suppliers and managing tight event budgets.

The person:

In order to be considered you will have to have previously worked within Events Management and Co-ordination. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment. You will be expected to manage your own workload and be able to carry out your duties working under pressure. You will be professional and presentable and have the confidence to communicate and liaise with a wide range of business professionals. As you will be working in a team of nine it is essential that you are a team player and have an engaging personality. Although this role is initially a temporary position there is an opportunity for the ideal candidate to apply for the permanent role.
