We are merging, investing in our estate and expanding our curriculum and skills offer to meet our large community's future needs. To support this growth, we seek a new senior leader in a new role - Vice Principal Curriculum and Achievement.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join one of the sectors largest colleges in a beautiful part of the country. The College is currently expanding through a Merger B with Hartlepool Sixth Form College. In September 2016 Sunderland College opened a brand new £30m City Centre Technical Education Centre. In the previous two years a £12m Visual and Performing Arts Academy and Sports Academy were opened at the Colleges Bede Campus. The College delivers education and skills training from Entry Level to Higher Education and has 4k 16-18 year old learners and 8k 19+ learners.

We are looking for somebody who will bring a new strategic capacity to develop and improve delivery and quality across the college. You will have the agility and adaptability to work at pace, having gained experience and built a track record of success working in a Good or Outstanding College(s)

We want a lot from you; including a proven track record of success with data, curriculum planning, funding in 16-18 19+ and Apprenticeships. Drive, ambition, motivation, with clear communication and transformational leadership skills are essential to make a quick impact, as is an ability to work effectively and closely with our Director of Quality
