Front-End Python Developer – Graduate/Junior – Cricket/Sports Analytics – Start-up – London – Circa £25,000

Hewitt Britton are currently recruiting for a Front-End Python Developer for an exciting start-up in London. This client has contracts with broadcasters including Sky Sports and Channel 9 in Australia where they deliver Sport Analytics from an archive of matches.

This role will be heavily involved in the creation and implementation of web applications to provide the interface to allow the visualisation of their data to viewers online and on TV. Their tech stack is open source (Python/MySQL (Maria DB) / Flask) you will also need strong skills in HTML, jQuery and CSS, knowledge of Linux shell, Git and some Perl exposure would be advantageous.

Where this is a start-up environment, you will need to be able to work independently and lead projects from prototype all the way through to production. Through the week you could be doing anything from building a new API to output date, creating data visualisation tolls in D3.js or Python Dash, improving web-based internal tools or coding a new app in Python, so you will be getting the opportunity to work on a whole heap of great projects, rapidly improving your skills and experience.
Remote working is an option however the offices are in an amazing spot and totally befitting their position in the market. This role is great for a young professional who has just graduated or in the first couple of years in their career, you don’t need to be a cricket badger, but an understanding of the game is key
