A brand new opportunity for an Applied Mathematician to join a successful technology innovation company. Working in a project based environment, the Applied Mathematician /Physicist will lead and contribute to technology development projects in the fields of Scientific Instruments, Medical Devices, Biotechnology, Consumer Electronics and Robotics. The Applied Mathematician/ Physicist will be presented with unique physical problems, forming mathematical models often from first principles that they then solve mathematically (algorithmically and / or numerically, translating the theoretical results into real world explanations and highly optimised solutions.

Requirements - Applied Mathematician / Physicist:

* BSc, MPhys, MMath, MSc or PhD degree in Mathematics/ Physics or similar discipline
* Experience of applying complex mathematics to analyse & optimise physical systems
* Experience of using software to implement mathematical models e.g. Matlab, Mathcad, Python, C/C++, R
* Ability to develop and optimise novel algorithms
