The Applied Physicist will be a key figure in a host of exciting R&D projects for clients in the medical, commercial and industrial sectors. You will act as project lead / technical expert across the product development lifecycle, from new concept generation and technology validation, through prototyping and full product development, to transfer to manufacture and sustainability. The Physicist will:

* Apply hands-on Science to develop viable solutions to challenging real-world technical problems
* Identify and research new 'blue-sky' technologies for possible commercial exploitation
* Be part of international multi-disciplinary product development teams;
* Design experimental apparatus and conduct proof-of-principle experiments

* Develop prototypes involving elements of electronics, optics, mechanics, materials etc



* Present results and findings to clients.





Requirements -Applied Physicist:

* A Masters (MPhys/MSci ) 2.1 or above and /or a Doctorate PhD, EngD, DPhil in Physics or closely related discipline.

* A Broad physics knowledge covering first principals
* Intuitive understanding of how physics effects real world processes and products
* Strong analytical ability
* A "hands on" highly practical approach to experimental physics and instrumentation
* Ability to analyse a wide range of data, structure thoughts, draw robust conclusions and communicate them in a clear concise way.
