Job Title:                           Statistical Modelling Manager
Location:                           Leeds
Salary:                               up to £70,000 + bonus & benefits

A specialist financial services company in Leeds has a vacancy for Statistical Modelling Manager to join their Analytics team.  You will manage a team of analysts developing statistical models and performing behavioural analysis on portfolios owned and for purchase in order to drive commercial decisions and strategic improvements.

As the analytical lead on business projects, the Manager will regularly present recommendations to senior management and executives based on data driven analysis and modelling. They will develop, design and enhance models using new and existing techniques throughout the customer lifecycle.

The role will involve stakeholder management and line management responsibility of Modelling Analysts. The Manager will also undertake analysis using SAS when required.

Candidate Profile

- 3+ years of data modelling
- A good understanding of credit industry, including the use of credit bureau data
- Ability to perform statistical analysis using SAS
- Has had line management responsibility
- Can demonstrate business benefits delivered through strategic improvements
- Understands and has used at least 1 of the following concepts: behavioural scoring; single customer view; strategy management using industry recognised tools and analysis; marketing campaign development and analysis
- Has presented analytical work to senior stakeholders as well as operational management
- Numerical degree qualification (preferred degrees include Mathematics, Business, Statistics, Finance)
- Proficient in SAS programming
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to provide commercial solutions
- Influencing skills and stakeholder management
