Our client is one of the leading firms of accountants in the East Midlands, who are currently looking for an Accounts Senior to join their busy office based in Derby.

The successful candidate will work closely alongside the secretarial team to ensure the smooth running of the office with a role encompassing all areas of office administration. This is an exciting career opportunity for somebody with enthusiasm to learn and progress within a successful growing company.

The role will involve:
-Responsible for the preparation of accounts from client portfolio within specified budget timescale.
-Occasional supervision of junior staff, when providing additional support to Accounts Senior.
-Production of draft accounts together with a well presented accounts file (paper / paperless), for review.
-Preparation of VAT returns.
-Preparation of management accounts.
-Manage general office-based day to day duties, as required.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications required:
-Preferably with professional qualification but experience is also acceptable
-Experience with sole traders and limited companies
-Experience of working in an accountancy practice or similar advantageous
-The ability to multitask in a busy team environment
-Personal Tax knowledge is not required but experience with Doctors, Charities and Trusts is highly advantageous.
