The role as Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business on a National remit with a focus on the food & retail market with a market leading business.

Client Details

My client are a global manufacturer and supplier of over 4,500 non-food consumable products. Supplying a number of markets, including Retail, Food & Industrial sectors. Through a diverse set of products and the ability to offer a flexible, high-quality service, we are focused on bringing further talent into the business to maintain market-leader status.


The role as Business Development Manager will consist of the following roles & responsibilities;

  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organisation
  • Use a consolidation approach to business and thrive off business growth
  • Research and build relationships with new clients
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company's practice leaders/Principals
  • Plan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives
  • Participate in pricing the solution/service


The successful Business Development Manager will be commutable to Birmingham & have the following experience;

  • Experience within the Packaging/Paper or Plastics market
  • Proven track record within Sales and winning business
  • Knowledge of the Food Retail market
  • Ideal experience within Goods Not For Resale (GNFR)
  • Ability to manage internal/external stakeholders
  • Driven in approach and an entrepreneurial approach to business needs
  • West Midlands based (or commutable)

Job Offer

£45,000 - £50,000
