My client in Haverhill is seeking a Technical Sales Support Consultant.

The role:-

Supporting all products as specified by the Technical Solutions Manager, duties to include:

Own and champion third party and in-house products once released.

Be responsible for managing the introduction of the 'product' from inception through field trial to post first installation as allocated by the Technical Solutions Manager.

Assist with configuration and validation of products including the creation of validation test plans.

Add where appropriate missing technical information on non-standard quotations prior to submission.

Management of product pilots and field trials

Attend Retail Product Quality Reviews to report on problems experienced and corrective action plans

Provide first line Technical Sales and Demonstration Support for products

Provide technical product assistance to the service support manager

Manage the production of Trial Documentation and Training Materials for trials

Provide comparisons on competitor products when required

Participate in the definition of New Product Requirements

Liaise with the Marketing Department to ensure that marketing services are available as required

Take responsibility for the introduction of products to the sales team as part of the Product Introduction Process. Work in collaboration with Technical Solutions and Marketing to achieve this

Take responsibility for the preparation and testing of product for demonstration purposes

Essential Qualifications:-

Computer or technology related degree, HNC / HND /BTEC / NVQ or Microsoft equivalent technical qualification/s

3 or more years' experience working in a Technical Pre-Sales Support environment. Preferably in a role with IT based equipment providing technology solutions

Experience in production of customer requirements and associated technical project documentation

High level of computer literacy, with a good working knowledge of MS operating systems

Experience of cloud based solutions and implementations, for example MS Azure

Ability to learn and apply new technologies

Experience working with computer based hardware, networks (TCP/IP) and databases

Experience in training/explaining technical concepts to a wide range of people.
