An established and well-known Company in Colchester are currently recruiting for a Sales Ledger Clerk to support them with a 9 month Maternity Contract. The ideal candidate will have had experience carrying out Sales Ledger duties as well as completing some basic credit control duties. This role is paying a competitive salary of between £18,000 - £24,000 and offers a great working environment.

Key responsibilities:
- Managing and maintaining accounts records and issue reports
- Raising sales invoices and credit notes
- Processing receipt and sales invoices
- Bank reconciliations
- Setting up new customers after undertaking credit checks
- Undertaking credit control via emails, letters and phone calls
- Running off customer statements
- Produce Aged Debt reports
- Providing cover across the finance team as required

Experience required:
- Sage experience desirable
- Ability to use Microsoft Office packages
- Experience of strong communication and negotiating skills
