Financial Controller - 5 Star Hotel
A 5 star hotel based in Central London is recruiting a Financial Controller. You will lead a team of 3 and report to Hotel General Manager and have a dotted line to the parent company FD.
You will take responsibility for the preparation, review and delivery of company accounts and the month end process. This will include:
• Management of balance sheet and P&L
• Presentation of financial reports to the Senior Leadership Team and parent company
• Leading the budgeting and forecasting process. Providing commentary and variance analysis
• Business partnering senior colleagues on all finance issues, driving efficiency, budgeting, cost control and other ad hoc matters
You will be the point of contact for the auditors, parent company FD and other third parties. The hotel has recently been acquired and there is a huge amount of work to be done surrounding improving controls and processes. This will include selecting and implementing a new finance system.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (or equivalent) with excellent excel skills. You will demonstrate previous experience and a strong understanding of Financial Reporting and Controls in the hotel industry. You will possess excellent communications skills and demonstrate the ability to lead a team and influence senior stake holders. You will have experience is improving systems and driving change.
