What the job is about:

The Health & Wellbeing Manager is directly responsible and accountable for the effective delivery of a range of the National Diabetes Prevention Programme across a geographical area. This involves ensuring that the service provided meets or exceeds commissioner performance expectations, are delivered within agreed budget and to agreed quality standards.

Your main responsibilities will include:
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with local referral sources (e.g. GPs, health check providers, other health service providers) and local complimentary services
• Managing and coordinating a number of Health & Wellbeing Coaches
• Ensuring the smooth running of service delivery across a specified region
• Close management of the profit and loss, forecasting, cost control, performance against budget and contractual specification

Required skills and experience:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent; or
• A-Level or equivalent attainment plus at least 2 years of high quality line management experience in a health-related environment.
• At least 2 years of high quality management experience in a customer focussed, target orientated environment.

Desirable Attributes:

• Experience of financial management, including financial planning, financial control and budget monitoring.

• Educated to degree level or equivalent; or
• A-Level or equivalent attainment plus at least 2 years of high quality line management experience in a health-related environment.
• At least 2 years of high quality management experience in a customer focussed, target orientated environment.
