3rd Line Infrastructure Analyst - London (Liverpool Street) - Top-tier Law firm - £50-58,000

An opportunity has arisen to work for a top-tier global law firm based near Liverpool Street, London. The 3rd Line Infrastructure Analyst will act as a point of escalation for the desktop team, and be responsible for managing and maintaining the core infrastructure particularly Windows Server, Virtual environment (VMWare), Storage (Netapp) and Commvault backup.

You will have extensive VMware and Citrix knowledge in a predominate virtual environment, and demonstrable knowledge of enterprise storage and backup. Preferably Netapp, Commvault with good data management experience.

Reporting into the Infrastructure Team Leader, working within a close knit team.

Responsibilities

  • 3rd line support across Server technologies (HP & Cisco UCS) in an international organisation with multiple data centre
  • Day to day management of server hardware and operating systems (Windows, Linux etc) ensuring all updates and patches are regularly assessed and applied
  • Day to day management of Netapp storage (Hardware and OnTap OS)
  • Day to day management of Commvault backup and recovery
  • Managing cabling and patching in datacentres within datacentre Environment (within server racks only)
  • Maintenance of server management tools such as SCCM, SCOM etc

Desirable

Travel: Occasional international travel to other offices to support major projects and initiatives.

Hours: The hours of work will be on a shift pattern between 8am-6pm, and will vary between 8-4pm, 9-5pm and 10-6pm, with a one hour break, 35 hours per week. This role also requires participation in an on-call rota providing 24/7 cover (after a suitable qualifying period).
