As part of a business transformation the business requires a Digital Business Analyst to gather and understand the business needs of our organisation within specific projects and operational improvement initiatives associated with our Digital Strategy. The Business Analyst (BA) will then work with our Project Managers and our IT teams/business teams, that the requirements are accurately translated into system implementations. The BA will be working across a range of projects complex and simple within our Digital Estate.

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow
  • Play a lead role in sprint planning sessions by introducing and explaining stories where required
  • Work with the Product Owner to establish and maintain a prioritized backlog of requirements and to identify the Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
  • Partner with Dev and Test leads to translate epics into user stories and create testable scenarios and acceptance criteria for each
  • Develop testable hypotheses to validate service design options and to inform the requirements gathering and elicitation process
  • Support the Product Owner throughout the delivery process by attending stand-ups, clarifying requirements with delivery teams and validating test results
  • Experience of working in a digital context with a focus on digital marketing / customer experience / B2C sales
  • Experience in driving business analysis for CRM, Core Marketing Platforms, Social, CRM, Mobile, Contact Centre projects
  • Demonstrable Project management experience using PMP, Prince2 (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in Waterfall and Agile/Scrum development approaches and Software Development Life- Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience of the Devops function and key processes such as development, test, automation, release, monitoring, change processes, support etc
  • Proven business analysis skills
  • Experience modelling and mapping business processes, user journeys, personas, Epic plans and User Stories using a variety of tools and techniques
