Are you a strong senior project engineer or 3rd line onsite engineer looking for a fresh challenge? My managed services client is looking for an ambitious IT project engineer as they are expanding their team to support their wide range of growing clients. You will need to be a bright and enthusiastic individual with the ambition to expand your technical skillset and knowledge. This is a varied role, where you will based predominantly at client site.


Skill-set required:

? Ideally at least one of the following qualifications: MCSE, CCNP, VCP
? Demonstrable experience of configuring servers, network devices and/or
other IT projects
? Understanding of current technologies and how technology is used to
provide IT services
? Understanding of project management frameworks and the advantages to
using them
? Ability to mentor junior staff and encourage them to progress
? Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communications skills, active
listening and customer care
? Able to build relationships with key staff at our customers, all the way up
to board level
? General troubleshooting skills
? Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
? Ability to work independently and in a team
? Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment


The Senior Project engineer is responsible for implementing projects for customers, both remotely and onsite. Whilst implementations are the main focus of the role the engineer may also be required to assist with support escalations from time to time and can even get involved in the design.

? Configuration of new switches, routers and other network devices
? Building and configuration of physical and virtual servers
? Implementing Cloud based solutions such as Office365, Egnyte, Azure,
? Building and configuration of new Windows / Mac OS laptops and
? Design of projects based on agreed customer objectives
? IT management of certain customers, including reviewing their existing
infrastructure and developing a roadmap for improvements
? Auditing IT infrastructure of new customers prior to take on for support
? Researching new products and solutions to be used across our customer
? Adhering to Conosco internal project processes
? Prompt and accurate updating of project management system and related
? Communication internally and with customers as required: keeping the
necessary stakeholders and project managers updated on project
progress and activity
? Where required assisting with support escalations for Windows Desktop /
Server / Mac OS, networking connectivity, routers, switches, firewalls
? Occasional out of hours work (paid overtime) where required
