Retail Store Manager
Chartman Ltd own and operate a number of petrol forecourts and convenience stores across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset. We have built up long standing working relationships with companies such as Esso and Spar and other well-known brands.
We are currently recruiting for a Retail Manager at our standalone convenience store in Exeter.
In brief the responsibilities will include:
Our Retail Manager’s report to the relevant Operations manager and are responsible for providing a first class customer experience to all of our customers, as well as ensuring the store is of an award winning standard at all times. Retail Managers are responsible for the day to day operations of the site with the aim of maximising sales while minimising costs.
We are looking for someone that has:
The drive and experience to develop the store, whilst developing our staff. We also require the Retail Manager to be able to fully understand the financial aspect of our business, in turn supporting our continued growth, development and success into the future.
The following experience is essential for the role:
At least 2 years’ experience at General/Store Manager level of convenience stores.
Proven leadership and people management skills.
Experience in using stock control software and stock control processes.
Commercial awareness and business acumen
Ability to interpret sales related data.
A keen eye for detail.
