The role of Account Director is to deliver robust strategies, PR campaigns and direction, providing clients with 'real' results. This includes overall management of your assigned accounts, managing client relationships and working on briefs, from initial concept through to delivery, generating high quality media coverage. Advising, supporting and training team members and being an ambassador for our Communications.

This role involves playing an integral part in the management and growth, ensuring profitability, cultivating clients and developing new business through formulation of strategies with the aim of optimising profitability and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Press
 To devise media and campaign strategies for clients
 To build positive relationships and with our key media with the aim to
raise the profile of our clients and help achieve strategic objectives
 To be responsible for final sign-off on all written materials and new
business research and proposals
 To write copy and content for various media outlets and corporate
presentations as required
 To proactively sell-in news stories, profiles and features to the media
(UK and International)

Business Development
 To identify new business opportunities
 To assist with new business proposals and attend subsequent meetings
 To lead the team, when required, to deliver on time, quality
submissions
 To ensure feedback is received on non-successful submissions and
measures put in place for improvement
 To provide updates at weekly meetings
 To represent us at relevant client events, launches and networking
evenings

Client Care
 To work with other Directors and Account Directors in establishing a
client care programme, focusing on communication, relationship
building and networking. To ensure the team are informed of the
process
 To identify ways in which we can be assessed with existing clients and
implement areas for improvement
 To assist in handling disputes with service and/or invoicing
 To ensure that clients are regularly kept up to date of activities through
contact reports and verbal communication (noted on the file)
 To arrange and attend regular client meetings
 To ensure administrative duties such as filing, database information
and press cuttings, relating to clients, are up to date
 To provide final sign-off on all client correspondence and reports
 Provide intelligence to clients on industry where relevant
