Independent machinery designer and manufacturer approaching £10m turnover, employing 70 highly trained people serving blue chip global manufacturing companies from a wide range of markets, requires Group Accounts Supervisor to join its small team.

Serving continually developing businesses operating from two sites and reporting to the Group Financial Controller, key responsibilities include:

• Producing monthly management accounts - including variance to budget
• Produce weekly cashflows
• Prepare information for monthly Board Meeting for Group Financial Controller and Directors
• Ensuring accuracy of project costing information
• Monthly payroll processing using Sage 50
• Acting as main contact person for external IT support providers ensuring smooth running of all IT systems
• Ensure manual stock procedures are being followed correctly until transferred to Sage
• Monthly remote business unit visits to ensure procedures are being followed correctly
• Assist with preparation of year-end statutory accounts
• Assist with preparation of budgets
• Ensure financial & project information is accurately produced on weekly basis, including hours reports, departmental reports and cost sheet information
• Prepare and present/issue information for weekly meetings and present information
• Authorise purchase orders on Sage 200, checking spend is within budget
• Check the fixed asset register is kept up to date
• Provide administrative cover for the Finance Team
• Assisting Group Financial Controller and ad hoc duties
• Ensuring compliance with all company Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Employee requirements, policies and procedures

You will need experience of:

• A similar Accounts/Finance Supervisor/Manager, Management Accountant or Assistant Accountant type role, including the preparation of monthly management accounts, preferably using Sage 200 or an integrated computer system in a manufacturing environment.
• Supervisory experience
• Accountancy study or qualification (ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW)
• Basic payroll
• Expert user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
• Good communication skills
