A secondary PRU for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties are looking for a Science teacher to start in September. As a Science Teacher, you will be required to teach up to GCSE Science and be able to plan engaging sessions that accommodate all student's needs. Science teachers should be able to deploy support staff effectively and have experience supporting students with a range of Special Needs.
The ideal Science teacher:
- Has experience teaching Science up to GCSE level
- Has QTS
- Can use a range of behaviour management techniques
- Has experience teaching to children with SEMHD, either in Special needs school or a PRU setting
This is a PRU that caters for students at KS3, 4 and 5 level across 2 sites. This particular role will be based at the main site, located a 5 minute walk from Lee station. The school believes that staff should be stress-free and have a sensible work-life balance so the students finish early on a Friday so that staff can conduct their weekly meeting then and they run team-building events during this time as well.
