Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a reputable independent firm of accountants based in Woolwich, South East London, who are now looking to recruit an Accounts & Audit Semi Senior to join their team.

This is a great opportunity to work as part of a successful team where you will assist with the completion of audit assignments, as well as having responsibility for the preparation of accounts and the associated tax work for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.

The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified and looking to begin their ACCA / ACA studies or may be an individual who is close to completing their ACA / ACCA Qualification and is now seeking a new role in which they can expand on their existing experience.

As this will be a mixed accounts and audit position, audit experience is desired however it is not an essential requirement as full training and support will be given.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a highly competitive salary as well as study support to complete the ACA / ACCA qualification.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparation of company accounts and corporation tax returns
Preparation of accounts for sole traders, and partnerships
Assist in the preparation of the audit plan and ensures it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives

Skills:

AAT Qualified or ACA / ACCA Part Qualified
Some experience of assisting on audit assignments is preferred
2 - 3 years minimum experience
