Water Quality and Hygiene Operative
Newcastle Upon Tyne

A global FM company that can boast a turnover of £1bn per year are recruiting for a Water Quality and Hygiene Operative to join them in Newcastle.

About You
You will be hands on and skilled in maintenance, diagnosis and repair of a range of plant equipment.
- Be able to work effectively without supervision
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation in the area of Water Control Systems
- Knowledge of PPM maintenance systems
- Good communication skills
- Experienced in the use of power tools and hand tools
- Able to use IT in order to measure Quality Assurance and other management reporting systems
- Flexible and good at planning and organising

- Fault finding, repair and maintenance of water systems across student accommodation buildings
- Test, Operate and Maintain all hot-water plant equipment
- Be responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety associated with Water Risk Assessment, COSHH, Safe Systems of Work, Audit actions and any other H&S matters as they arise relating to WQM.
- Maintain Records,
- Maintain cleanliness of building whilst carrying out work.
- Water hygiene statutory maintenance tasks, such as: temperature reading, descaling, sampling and testing and associated tasks to comply with L8 ACoP. (once qualified and appointed)
- Toolbox talks
- Carry out tasks as appointed by management.
