Based in the heart of Canary Wharf for a global logistics / shipping company, this Facilities and Health & Safety Co-ordinator role is responsible for day-to-day premises management and office administration as well as acting as the Health & Safety Competent Person and Chief Fire Warden.

This Facilities and Health & Safety Co-ordinator role requires a strong communicator with a Health & Safety qualification and previous experience acting as Fire Warden as well as practical experience carrying out Display Screen Equipment assessments.

This is a crucial and responsible position requiring a practical problem solver with excellent organisational and planning skills and a high level of customer focus.

To be successful in this Facilities and Health & Safety Co-ordinator role, you will have:

*Previous Facilities and Health & Safety experience
*Practical experience carrying out Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments
*Qualification in Health & Safety
*Previous experience as a Fire Warden
*Strong Word and Excel
*Experience using databases and purchase systems
*Confident approach in dealing with all types of people
*Proactive nature
*Excellent communication, both spoken and written

Key areas of accountability within this Facilities and Health & Safety Co-ordinator position include:

*Acting as a point of contact for all facilities queries eg, cleaning, waste disposal, temperature, plant care, maintenance as well as car parking
*Assisting in reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts
*Managing mobile phone contracts
*Ordering business cards and printed stationery
*Managing all requisitions
*Updating CAD
*Ensuring new starters have equipment etc
*Administering passes
*Checking invoices
*Keeping key records up-to-date
*Maintaining contract management database
*Reporting catering issues
*Maintaining records of service visits
*Conducting DSE risk assessments
*Acting as Competent Person including conducting weekly Health & Safety checks; Health & Safety inductions; water checks; Pat testing; fire extinguisher checks;
*Controlling and maintaining Health & Safety records
*Health & Safety operational control
*Acting as Chief Fire Warden
