The Marketing Assistant involves being able to work in a dynamic environment, being able to work effectively with various internal and external customers, attend marketing/PR events, managing marketing campaigns and assist the Marketing Manager where necessary.

Assistance in organising events:
• placing orders
• liaising with caterers, venue operators and other suppliers
• sending/receiving calls & emails
• managing attendee lists
• booking cabs, venues, services, etc.
• running errands
• working with internal and external stakeholders
• attending events and documenting content (photography, filmography, quotes…) for use on social media

Assistance in managing marketing campaigns:
• keeping task management systems up to date
• taking notes in meetings
• ensuring all expenses relating to events are logged and accounted for
• scheduling social media content

General marketing assistance:
• assistance in the creation and distribution of email campaigns (Dotmailer)
• assistance in using the CRM (Salesforce) to add/edit/manage campaigns
• general admin as assigned by Marketing Manager

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in PA, events management, assistant, or administrative role essential
• Experience in B2B events an advantage
• Degree not required but an advantage
• Excellent spelling, grammar & punctuation a must
• Experience in maritime and/or technology is advantageous but not required
• Salesforce experience is a great advantage - the more, the better
• Analytical skills; ability to report on campaign success / ROI, keep track of statistics
• During events there may be some out-of-hours work required
