My client is a UK leading supplier of Ophthalmic instruments, supplying instruments into independent and large chain opticians as well as hospitals. They have a strong reputation within the industry for sourcing and supplying the best possible value for their customers. They have built long lasting and strong relationships with suppliers and have no pressure in choosing the best instruments from across the world. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Area Sales Representative in the North of England and Scotland.
What is the role?
This role will cover the Northern territory of England and incorporates Scotland. The successful candidate will be capable of selling, installing, and servicing Ophthalmic equipment for both the Optometric and Ophthalmology markets. Duties will include handling sales enquires, following up leads, generating new business, area service calls and attending and installing UK-Wide exhibitions.
Is this for me?
To be successful in this role you will need to be experienced in the Ophthalmic and Optometric market. You will also be a confident sales person with excellent communications skills and effectively manage your time. You will also have a passion for delivering the best customer service to a very well established and robust client base.
You will also need:
- Strong presentation skills
- The ability to work autonomously and on own initiative
- An affinity for teamwork
- Excellent PC skills including a working knowledge of MS Office
- The emotional maturity to build relationships based on trust and respect
- Full UK driving licence
