Account Manager (IT, Infrastructure Services)
Permanent, £30,000 - £50,000 per annum (£??k OTE uncapped commission), plus car allowance & benefits

Do you have a successful commercial track record as an Account Manager managing key/strategic accounts? Do you have further experience working within IT Infrastructure & or Network and Storage solution environments or supplying niche applications within the sectors? If so, then we may be recruiting for your perfect career move. We are a specialist supplier of ICT resource to the public sector, local authority & social housing sectors and are currently resourcing for an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager with a market leading infrastructure solutions provider to take responsibility for key Customer Accounts.

The purpose of the role will be to take responsibility for the development and management of effective business relationships with customers by ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction & retention, recommending appropriate business/consultancy solutions to supports the business & IT strategy of the customer whilst delivering significant sales revenues against targets. There is an equal emphasis placed on customer service & account management, as there is on the sales element of this role. Therefore the role has more to it than just the sales element, and the sales would be very much consultancy led rather than an aggressive new business approach. You will also have or develop on an existing understanding of the Infrastructure/IT solutions or network & storage solutions including in particular the issues and challenges that the market currently faces as well as perceived future
challenges. You will assist in achieving the strategic aims of the organisation and contribute to a continuous improvement programme. The suitable applicant will ensure that their sales & customer satisfaction targets are met, ensuring an accurate sales pipeline and ensure the highest customer service levels whilst recommending improvements on an on-going basis.


•You will have a proven and successful track record in an Account Management capacity, having managed strategic accounts, worked in a sales focussed environment and operated at senior or executive levels.
•You will have strong knowledge of IT, with at least two years experience in sales in the IT industry
•A proven track record in sales performance including business development, and achieving KPI's regularly


•Experience of infrastructure/ network & storage solutions would be advantageous for this role

As an individual you will be confident with excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. You will be commercially aware, be of the mind-set to think strategically in selling the problems that you solve rather than products themselves. You will be organised, have excellent time management and good written skills in order to draft bids and proposals. You will also have a sales focus and commercial awareness.

This role is office based Monday-Friday with with two thirds of your time spent on the road visiting customers and with around a couple of nights per week staying away from home. The remaining time is spent working from home.
