Jackson Hogg are delighted to be working with an established building services company on a 12 month IT Support role.

The role will be to assist the Senior Support & System Developer, to monitor and maintain the computers systems and network of the organisation. Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Responding to and resolving network issues raised on the internal Company helpdesk, including prioritisation of requests
• Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
• Modify and repair computer hardware including monitors, keyboard and printers
• Testing and fixing faulty equipment
• Talking staff through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
• Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
• Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
• Setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
• Analysing helpdesk logs to identify common trends and underlying problems
• Testing and evaluating new technology
• Troubleshoot computer hardware, software and network issues
• Involvement in the Company’s ongoing IS Project
• Assisting the development and troubleshooting of in house systems and databases
• Evaluating of company hardware and software
• Assisting members of staff within the department
• Providing good customer service
• Be able to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with network users
• Prioritise workloads and work independently when required
• Travel to regional offices in Edinburgh and Yorkshire if required

The ideal candidate will have an interest in all things IT related and have good IT problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. They will be confident, ambitious, extremely hard working, and have an ability to work under pressure. A proactive and enthusiastic approach to working and learning is essential.

Full UK Driving Licence is required
