£60,000 (possibly more DOE) + Car/Allowance, PHC

This organisation is one of Britain's best loved and trusted brands, they have recently gone through a major product overhaul and new product development, meaning that they have started to take back market share and have increased listings in the major grocery multiples. After conducting a business wide capability assessment, it has become apparent that to fulfil their true potential and build on the 2016 8% growth, the workforce needs up skilling and only the best will do.

The site is the flagship of the business and produces 25% of the groups volumes which are sold through the Multiples and Retailers. After stabilising the commercials, focus has now moved to operational excellence with more growth forecast for the remainder of 2017 & into 2018 the only way is up for this well-known brand.

Reporting into the Site Director, the Site Technical Manager will lead a team to effectively deliver and ensure the production of safe and legal food, setting the bar reflective of this house hold name.

This role is not for the faint hearted. You will need the experience, strength and drive to assess and implement your changes into a site that has not yet realised it's potential. Your fresh ideas will be in the spotlight from day one as you will be pivotal in pushing the business forward which will have a wider group impact.

About you

* Due to the importance of this role, we don't want a Technical Manager that is constantly sat behind their desk. We want you to be on the shop floor pushing your colleagues and striving for the excellence this site demands.
* You will be a strong manager but also a mentor and the go to person relating to Technical matters
* You must have a High Care Chilled Food background


* Degree qualified
* Exceptional BB or industry Technical experience will be considered in lieu of qualifications
* IT literate
* Good verbal and numerate skills
* Financial acumen
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience of managing change programmes in a supply chain environment
* Action oriented and energetic
* Ability to build effective teams
* Drive for results - can push self and others to deliver outstanding results


* Food Science degree qualified
* BRC & third party audit exposure
* Food hygiene level 4
* IOSH managing safely/NEBOSHE
* HACCP level 4
* RSPH2-Royal Society Public Heath- Level 2 award in pest
